Welcome To woven hands art.
Art is not made for the sake of art, nor is it made for monetary gain. Art is not made as an accent in a room or to compliment a color scheme. Art is not inaccessible, or superior, or forgettable. Art is not a name on canvas, art is not modern or contemporary or a movement or a style.
Art is an expression of talent. Art stands on its own; it is wholly encapsulated truth as created by the artist, drawn from life, torn from emotion, and pulled from ones subconscious. When these elements of man are expertly manipulated and poured into a work of art, when one feels like a piece of themselves has been drained from their being and shared with their work, THAT is art.
Art is owned by the artist, no matter who might obtain the physical piece. The viewer may feel or see or imagine whatever they wish to be expressed in any given art, but the essential truth and life of the piece will always belong to the artist. The artists connection to their work should, and can never be equaled by another.
Art that is commissioned, and given conditions or constraints by anyone other than the artist is not tolerable. The artist is to be given free range of his talent. The viewer can only decide to appreciate the art, or to not appreciate the art. It is the duty of the artist to spill all of his available talent, honesty, emotion, experience and life into every piece.
This is the philosophy of Woven Hands.
